Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
About:
FAO provides learners with free access to content that can interest them and support them in their job through the E-Learning Centre. The e-Learning platform provides e- Learning courses for professionals working in food and nutrition security, social and economic development and sustainable management of natural resources.
The courses cover a wealth of topics of global interest. They offer content for self-pace learning as well as materials for trainers and references to existing bibliography and online resources.
About the e-learning courses: Mixture of rich content, targeted learning strategies, dynamic screens, interactive tests, exercises with reinforcement feedback and illustrative case studies to make often complex topics accessible to novice learners while meeting the needs of experienced professionals wishing to update their skills. All courses are modular and suited to “just in time” learning. Specific lessons can be taken whenever needed or comprehensive courses accessed, at the user’s own pace and according to the user’s schedule.
In addition to the e-learning materials, there are links to online resources, recommended readings, self-study tutorials, checklists and wide-range of job aids to get the user started in applying what they have learned.
